everyone dreads when they see me coming. I have to share my stupidity since it involves my stupid IBS.
I took the girls to the grocery store today. I did not want to go and my stomach was bothering me. So we get their and some how we knocked over a display in the middle of one of the asle and a lady helped us pick it up. I think I might have help hit it when I let go of the cart and Meike was pushing it but I can't tell you for sure since I was looking for a chocolate cake mix (thanks Casey hehehe).
Okay so the girls are fooling around, running down the asles and Zoe was yelling at me for who knows what. We finally get done and I head for a line. I hate this store. They have 10 checkouts and 4 were express and two for everyone else. I just wanted to get out so I found a lane and started taking my groceries out. The cashier tells me it's an express lane. I said I'm sorry what? It's for 7 items only but that's ok. I said I'm sorry I can go to another lane she insisted it was fine so we stayed and I hoped she would hurry since I was mortified. Well this man comes up behind me and I'm avoiding all contact. He says, That's a bit excessive for 7 items don't you think. I never say anything but at that point I couldn't help it. I said I'm sorry I didn't realize it at first and I have the kids with me today and obviously I'm not having a good day. I hurried up got out of there and once we left the parking lot I cried all the way home. I swear he came in that lane just to make a comment to me.
I guess I'm not going back there. The store is 5 min. away but it's horrible. I just wanted to go quickly instead of driving 20 min to another store or 45 min. to one that has a kid center. I guess I'm going to have to go without the kids this summer. Oh and did I mention I had 60 items ? Now that I think of it maybe I should not do the shopping period. On top of all that I didn't buy anything other than dinner that I could safely eat . My secret is out on how I've lost so much weight.
Alright I'm done with my pity party and I think I might be able to laugh about it. I'm glad I called my friend later because she could sympathize and I made her laugh so hard. What are friends for, right?
