Sorry to hear that it went so poorly Steph I'm sure your colonoscopy will go better, you're due for some better luck! I'm really surprised that 2mg of Ativan didn't work...that's a pretty hefty dose...however, if you were really keyed up (which is sounds like you were) than it's possible it wouldn't be enough. I've taken up to 1 1/2 at a time (after taking 1mg twice during the day) and if I'm really panicky, it won't calm me down
Anyways, I hope that you're feeling better real soon and that the pain subsides real quick
