I was in NY this weekend for Pride       06/29/05 02:18 PM Edit Reply Quote Nelly Reged: 08/06/04 Posts: 4381 Loc: Within stray mortar fire of DC I attended Gay Pride on Sunday in NY, and let me tell you, I am on this etherial high from all the nice people I met while I was there. They have to do this more than one time a year!!! While I was there, I stood up in favor of the marriage initiative to end special rights for hetrosexuals. I am 100% behind gay marriage and I was proud to speak up for my gay friends who are in this denied by our federal government. As I am a firm believer of not eating at the whites only diner counter, I have pledged not to get married until all my fellow voting Americans can do the same. And I applaud Canada's push to be on the right side of history!!!! Hope we can follow their shining example soon!!
