So this weekend I popped my right ankle (dislocated, rotation inversion) and I'm hobbling around on crutches and a cast at the mo. Pity cos it was such a good weekend otherwise. We car tripped up to Gettysburg, PA with the dog, then went hiking around our favorite fishing spot on where I did the deed. Pop! right on the trail.
I completely missed out on visiting with Amie!! Min and I talked on the phone which was reassuring, tho. Amie I'm so sorry and will catch you next time!!
It's the fourth time BF has seen me do this to the same ankle in 9 years (and the 3rd time in the month of May!!!?!), so he knows the drill. I popped it back in quickly, and I've been dilligently doing the ice on and off thing. It's casted up in a 1/2 plaster deal an EMT moulded for me, plus ace bandages up to my knee almost.
Biggest bummer is not having insurance, so I didn't see a doctor. Don't gasp. It's totally my reality. I can wiggle my toes and the swelling's going down... My tendons and ligaments are stretched out like rubber bands which it why this injury won't heal. Gotta get the surgury. Not feasible at the mo.
Second biggest bummer is not driving for the moment, but at least I don't have anywhere to be!!!
