Well, I just left the Re's office. The ultrasound sound that I have THREE very large egg follicles on my right ovary and one small one that probably won't mature! Luckily, there are not follicles on the left ovary. These large egg follicles are what have been causing my abdominal pain the last few days! She said the pain my actually get worse today and tomorrow until the eggs are released. She said that some women actually feel the releasing of the eggs, like a poping inside?!
I have to give myself a shot of HCG hormone tonight which will make sure that the egg's get released. Statistically, the chances of all three eggs being fertilized and implanted is pretty low but it is a possibility. I was asked if I wanted to not try this cycle because of this chance and I told them no way! If, by the slim chance, that all three eggs actually make it into babies, my body is big enough to carry three so I'm not too worried. I'd be happy about twins but not thrilled at the thought of triplettes but I'll take what ever I can!!
So, the officaly sex-a-thon started last night once I give myself the injection tonight, it will pretty much insure that I ovulate this weekend. I will start the progesterone suppositories right after that and they will moniter my levels very closely! Everyone keep your fingers crossed that I get pregnant and STAY pregnant!
