Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

So I come home the other night and a package has arrived in the mail.

I am curious, because I love packages but sadly, it is not for me.

Later on, I am just sitting on the couch, minding my own business and my mom is opening the package. "What is it?" I ask. "They are... supplements... for people on.. high-carb diets..." she says as she pulls two big pill bottles from the package.
"They are for me?" I ask, suprised as she never discussed ordering any such 'supplements' for me.
"Yeah," my Dad laughs, "They're called "Fat Blasters"".

So embarassed and offended, I take the bottle and look at it. It is basically caffeine.
I say, "I can't take these, they are almost all caffeine and I can't have caffiene".
She says okay.

Now, don't get me wrong, I realise that I may have some extra fat that needs 'blasting' but how RUDE was that??? Who orders their DAUGHTER pills called "Fat Blasters"?? To me now, it's amusing but also pretty insulting!

So anyway, I took the hint and have now made an appointment to get a program set up for me at my gym and will try to go more often to 'blast the fat' my own way.
Still, sheeesh!
Just a little glimpse into my family life, ha ha.

Anyway, gotta go eat some more! Just kidding.
I think you're all gorgeous, by the way, and don't let anybody make you think otherwise!!
