I know where you're coming from all too well. Adam lost his job a month ago and had to take a call center job at a huge paycut because it was all he could find. With such a big loss of monthly income, we had to take our truck off the road... which means we only have one vehicle... which he has to use... which means I'm limited to whatever I can get to within walking distance. Which is fine and lovely for day-to-day living, but basically means I have no way of holding a job - and that means living on one small income. Life DOES suck, dammit. I don't think there's been a single day in the past month that I haven't said that.
Selling things on ebay is how I'm scraping together enough to pay bills - maybe that's an option for you too? I don't know how much of a packrat you are but you'd be amazed at what people will buy. I'd be more than happy that give you ideas and pointers and whatnot - or even if you just want someone to commiserate with! - my email's atomicrose@gmail.com.
