I've found it really hard to find one I get along with well and one that I feel is doing their job properly. We're all obsessed. Who wouldn't be when you feel sick 24/7 365 days a year? But like you said I think most of us are obsessed with feeling better rather than dwelling on the fact that we're always sick. Maybe he just isn't the right counsellor for you. It might take some trial and error but you will find one who's great for you (I did eventually, just couldn't afford it on a long term basis). Big hugs. It's really devastating to lose a friend. Don't let him think you are being silly. No one has the right to be rude to you for being sick.
