When my last lease was up, he never made me sign a new one. But the thought of looking for a new place (calling, going to view, trying to find something decent on my low pay), packing, moving, the expense, it is overwhelming too.
I am too scared to get the cops involved. And it is his building so I'm pretty sure as long as he only works on it from 7 am to 8 pm, he is legal to do it. Even on weekends. I know the hours because the are building a condo building right next to me, and the trucks are out there at 6:30 am. This is my weekday wake up. So now, everyday I get to listen to some type of construction! 
I know if I mess with this landlord, he will either tell me to move or raise my rent enough so that I cannot afford to live here. The rent is reasonable. And I really don't have the personality and assertiveness to fight this man or face off with him about noise, yet once again.
