I was on depo for a year when my IBS magically appeared. My doctor actually suggested I stop getting the shot as the hormones from it could be seriously affecting my body. I haven't had a shot since july (and still have yet to have a period at all). However, since gaining control of my IBS I've been suffering from heartburn and now i burp ALOT. After a month of the initial onset of IBS i had lost about 20 pounds and i'm now up to about the heaviest i've ever been. Does anyone know if antispasmodic drugs(such as levsin and nulev which are the ones i'm on) could cause this? And has anyone ever had a major problem with IBS and DEPO?
