Well. The endoscopy unit called me for a check up yesterday lunchtime and I was having this awful pain under the left rib which sort of felt like a stitch but kept getting stabbing pain as well. I ended up going into the ED at 4pm yesterday arvo and was admitted cause they were worried my colon might have been perforated during the tests. Luckily all blood work for infections and my x-ray came back clear. They wanted me to stay over night but I promised that I'd see my doctor tomorrow for a check up and come back in if the pain didn't get any better. Then they thought maybe it was the reflux as I've had it for 4 years but never had any meds for it and apparantly that can be a bit dangerous as it can cause damage even if you don't get symptoms. So maybe the scope upset it. So I got a litre of Saline pumped into me, a shot of Lesapro and a prescription for Nexium. I'm feeling a tiny bit better today but oh my was it boring. They lost my paperwork when I got there so it was 2 hours before anyone even realised I was lying in a bed, then I just hung round waiting for test results. All sorts of people were coming in and puking and having watery d and all I could "see" around me were germs that would make me sick So I'm stuck on a plain rice, bread, pasta etc (basically the what to eat when you can't eat anything diet) for at least 24 hours to try and settle my tummy. Sorry, just needed to vent. Seems like things just keep going wrong for me at the moment.
