Last year I trained for the marathon, so I was doing a lot of running. It was hard on my IBS, I won't kid you. First off, my body doesn't like being up that early, and so about a mile or two in I always felt nauseous and had to use the bathroom (and everytime I finished a run I ran to the bathroom). Though it wasn't enjoyable I just ran through the initial IBS stuff and by the time I got to mile six or so I was doing ok. It was just at the beginning that things would be bad, and usually during the beginning we were running near bathrooms anyway.

My only suggestions are to find organic sports drink (less chemicals), and there are goo packets that are fruit based, which don't have caffine in them. It would probably help to pop some equlactin before hitting the road too.
