Hey Fibro Gals,
Just wanted to post to say thank you for your advice about a month back when I was going through the dizzy thing. I have been here and there on the boards since then but have just caught up on reading posts and came across your responses.
Linz, I think you said about how the least little ear infection or sinus problem makes the dizzies worse. Well I got it right before a bad sinus infection and the doc said if particles break loose in the ear it gives me benign vertigo and fibro makes it 10x worse. So he gave me antivert and just as Jen said it passed. Thanks for the advice and encouragement.
Jen as you said it passed but also as you said was replaced by something just as worse. I had to take antibiotics to clear up sinus infection causing the vertigo and that sent my tummy reeling. I got over that and then got just a plain old cold intensified by fibro. And then when that cleared up I just recently got a 24 hr. stomach bug that was REAL fun. I have two school age daughters so I guess tis the season. And now my newest symptom is a shooting pain that goes from my fingers down to my elbow at night in my right arm that has a numbing feeling at the same time. ???? Who knows right?? I think it is b/c I use a mouse all day long so that arm is overworked and so the fibro flares up. But since I have fibro I am not skilled enough to use left hand, to much coordination which is not my strong suit lately. But thanks for your encouragement and it nice to know I am not alone in this.
Ruchie!!! How the heck are ya, hon? I have missed you on the boards and with all my woes lately I haven't been e-mailing either. I am glad to hear that you were having a spurt of good days. That is great isn't it!!?? I know your having a flare up as I read in one of your posts, but Jen is right this to shall pass and more good days will follow. That is what I have to keep thinking when I hit a bad spurt like I just did over the last 2 months. I always feel so good and like maybe it is all in my head when I am having a good spurt but then that darn Fibro rears its ugly head and reminds me that it is still there. But I think Jen is right you have to think positive and know that it will pass, even if only to be replaced by something worse that will pass to.
Well if you guys can't tell I am in one of the good spurts besides the arm pain at night so I am feeling optimistic. But don't get to excited for me I'm sure before long I will be whining again. So just do me a favor when that happens and remind of the phrase again "This to shall pass".
Sorry such a long post! I have one question before I go. I used to drink a cup of instant capuccino in the a.m. but stopped once I started Heather's diet but I am fairly stable now and have trouble getting awake in the a.m. I saw that Ruchie drinks coffee and Linz I think you stated in the past you do to. How does this help with your Fibro? And does your IBS flare up from drinking coffee? And what's with the sugar is that bad for Fibro or just for you Ruchie? I know you have other illnesses as well as Fibro. Okay that was more than one question! I will stop rambling now.
Hoping you have a Fibro free day, Christie
