Hi Sinead!
I don't know you, but I know about sudden windfalls like you just had. I've had a few in my lifetime, and two of them stand out in my memory. In both instances, I "blew" the money on something I had been wanting AND NEEDING a long time. The first time was in 1969; it was a Christmas bonus from the first company I worked for. I "splurged" on a washing machine that my husband refused to buy me. That washer lasted me 33 years. The second time I had a windfall, I splurged and bought myself a car. At the time, I needed a car; I didn't have one. Do you know, to this day, I still have that car -- and it's only got 17,000 miles on it! It'll last me the rest of my life.
I'm doing a poor job of telling you to get something REAL special for yourself, something you would never otherwise buy, because it'll always be a constant reminder of a very lucky time in your life. Whatever you do, don't spend it on anything practical, like paying bills or groceries. This is a one-time shot.
That "necklet" (necklace I assume?) and matching earrings sound fabulous! Goferit, Girlfriend!
