Hi all, 9 days on my countdown - woo hoo!! So today was the big trip to London to surprise the boyfriend. We ended up sleeping in too late, but it was so worth it 'cause you know those mornings when you are so comfy and just don't wanna get up? So we didn't! (This is one luxury I will never take for granted!!). But when we did get up, tummy started complaining BIG TIME! I had to go to the loo twice before we left, and when we left I was feeling _really_ anxious. Adrian was really nice about it, and kept saying we could go back home any time I wanted so that made me feel a bit at ease, but it was still a bit of a nightmare. The walk to the station was unpleasant, but I made it! Then we got a fast train by chance to London, and everything was okay on the journey.. This is weird: I am comforted somewhat by the fact that the trains have bathrooms BUT the thought of actually having to use them gives me more anxiety.. like, what if I am still in there when the train gets to my stop? Or what if I am still in there when the train terminates? So for that reasoning, I have never used them..
So we got to Victoria and then I had to run to the bathroom again and then THIS bothered me: You have to pay 20p to use the bathroom, to get in. Now, I had 20p in my pocket by chance but I just know that if I were right in the middle of an attack and had to search through my bag and wallet for the right change just to get into the bathroom, I will be in a really bad state! So that bugged me all day.
Things got better from there; We went to the Tower of London and went on a guided tour, with a guide that was _excellent_ and I could tell Adrian LOVED it! (He was so excited all day, it was well worth all the trouble!). Then we walked along the water for a bit, and looked around for a while before we went to Somerset House, where we had a coffee (well, he had a coffee.. I had still water and ginger snap..) and then went ice skating in the outdoor rink. Okay, so the actual skating was a nightmare.. they packed the really small rink FULL of people who couldn't skate and everyone was falling all over the place.. people kept grabbing onto me! And I am not a good skater! But Adrian is a _terrible_ skater! He just couldn't work it out! But he said he enjoyed it, so I was happy. We had Italian food for dinner (I had grilled chicken breast with new potatoes), which we both really enjoyed. On the train ride home, I was _really_ nauseous and unhappy, but we did make it home safe and sound! Just when I thought we were getting to the romantic part of "Stephanie and Adrian Day", he left! He went to Tae Kwon Do because we got home early enough that he could go see a class! I was kinda mad, and pouted about it but he's gone now so.. oh well! He made suggestive remarks about when he gets home, and I told him I'd be sleeping and you snooze you lose! Ha! Tomorrow I have to sort all my money out (stupid job is really sending me from pillar to post regarding quite a large amount of money that they owe me and I found out today when I phoned the company that pays us, they haven't even been informed! Grr!) and will be going shopping! Hope everyone is having a great day! 9 Days! Woo! --Steph
