Hey Guys,

Hoping to get some help and support here! I'm starting to reduce my dosage of Effexor and I'm already having trouble with it. A year and a half ago I started to get off of Paxil due to the side-effects, and it was awful! I had nausea, fatigue and brain-zaps (the worst) and I really don't feel like going through it again. I'm going slowly, but still having trouble.

Today was the first day since I reduced my dosage and I've practically slept all day. I'm so tired that I've been slurring my words and falling asleep mid-sentence! I'm also really nauseaus and a little concerned because anorexia is a side-effect of effexor withdrawal, and for those of you who know I"ve had a lot of weightloss recently and my docs are really on my back about not losing anymore. My weight's been stable since mid-August, but only because I'm forcing myself to eat a lot! If I'm really nauseous that just ain't gonna happen.

Anyways, has anyone ever experienced this before? I've got to get off this stuff, the side-effects have been really bad. I just found out both my parents couldn't tolerate SSRIs either, so I'm not going to be trying anymore.

Thanks for listening guys
Kelly
