Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Help! Boss advice needed...a bit long

I am starting to have some major trouble with my boss. I do something called SDO time which basically means working an extra 30 mins every day to accumulate extra vacation days. She had been giving me so much trouble with the time I come in, etc. For example, I am supposed to work 8:30-4:30 with the SDO. Sometimes when there's traffic or when I'm super tired I come in for 8:40. She noticed this and told me that if I wanted to do my SDO that I needed to come in for 8:30. If I came in late because of traffic then I can't do my SDO and should leave by 4:30.

So the days that I come in late I tell her so she knows and doesn't think that I'm trying to sneak in. Well I told her today and she gave me such a hard time. She told me that if I come in late that I need to stay until 4:30. Fine.

My problem is that other people here that do SDo don't have any of these crazy time restrictions. She also tells me that I can't do my SDO on yoga days as I take a longer lunch the one day a week that we do yoga here.

I feel like she's watching my very move and she making me so uncomfortable. She has a real bad attitude and gets nasty at the drop of a hat. This morning when she was telling me that I need to stay until 4:30 if I come in late she ended it by saying :Now do you understand, am I clear enough?" I just looked at her and said yes. I mean come on, does she need to talk to me in that tone and demeaning manner???

The real reason that I'm often late is because I have really bad insomnia and mornings are brutally hard for me. Plus this morning my tummy is super bad. I debated even coming in to work as I feel so rough. I think it's mostly stress as I have that big appt. this week that will tell me whether or not I have Crohn's.

I could tell my boss the real reasons that I'm late (not the traffic b.s.) but then she could try to get me fired or something? Who knows.

Any suggestion on how to deal with her are much needed and appreciated.
