Sorry you are having such a rough time financially.....AND, I've been there done that! We were on a really tight budget when the kids were little and I wasn't working. We even had a deferment on our house payment for one month.....it was at Christmas time. You might check with your mortgage co.....you only pay the interest for one month and the rest is deferred. It really helped us through that Christmas.

Also, why doesn't your hubby want to ask his parents for a break from your payments for a couple of months? We loaned my son & his wife some money for a car a while back and when they ran into some financial trouble we deferred the payments for them. I can't imagine that his parents wouldn't want to help. Just a thought.
