I'm a huge fan of vodka martinis, and I order them "dirty" -- which means olives and a little bit of salty olive juice splashed in there. Everybody either loves them or hates them. I love them. They are not carbonated, and I get a pretty good buzz going from just one or two. I don't know if you can handle gin -- most people can't -- but I'm also a huge fan of gin and grapefruit juice. Again, you're really not supposed to drink but if you've been feeling really stable, you might be able to get away with it. Beer almost always gives me D the next day, even before I had IBS.
Basically, if you are going to drink, stay away from carbonation (that includes those smirnoff ice things), and don't drink too much. Also if extremely cold beverages are normally a problem for you, don't get frozen drinks. The Vodka in martinis is usually kept very cold, but there is no ice in the glass so that's a little better. PS it's hard to dance and not spill a martini!
Have a fun bday. Panda
