I've been kind of scarce the past week, because my father and his wife have been visiting from New Jersey since Saturday. We've had a *wonderful* time from start to finish, but the icing on the cake was the great weather and the PERFECT timing of their visit: they got here right at the peak of fall color in Maine. Naturally, we've all taken a bunch of pictures, so I thought I'd share a few...
Mt. Katahdin (and a lake I'm not sure of the name of), from 95 North on the edge of Aroostook County

Stephen King's house, Bangor

Two pictures of the Mattawamkeag River, taken from a bridge in the town of Mattawamkeag. I know they're a little redundant, but I couldn't decide which shot I liked better (one was taken with a zoom, one was not... the colors are truer in the second, but the first is so bright that you just have to love it!).

As if I needed any more convincing that I live in the most beautiful place on earth.
Dad and Sarah head back home tomorrow morning; I'll be sad to see them go, but I'm looking forward to a return to normalcy.
Hope everyone else is doing good!!
