Thanks Mindy, all words of encouragement greatly appreciated, sometimes I just need to type the stuff and even once its on the screen in front of me I feel like I have started to "let go" of the frustration.
Like I said in one of the other replies, my friends are being v. sweet, offering to make meals I can eat etc, I haven't taken them up on the offers yet as plain rice won't stretch them enough..they are GREAT cooks! That said, being Irish and taking our drink culture here into account that part is going to be the hardest. We have a wedding coming up and while I don't drink loads I actively particpate so people who might not be such close friends will think I am pregnant if I am not drinking! I'll see how it goes!
You're right about the food here, I can always be guaranteed to get potatoes wherever I go, will just have to avoid the butter on them! I'm not a big red meat eater so that won't really bother me either but the whole dairy free thing will be interesting.. I'll be in the city centre on Saturday and will drop a penny in the Liffey for you!
