I like the idea of renting the new house until the closing. That kind of assures the sellers that you WILL be closing with no problems. As you know, I'm in the process of selling the condo, which is vacant, and frankly I wouldn't mind the buyers moving in early at all; better that they move in and occupy it than have it be empty. Besides, it sounds like you're in a bad situation where you're living now. I'd want to get out of there as soon as I could..... Good luck -- and keep us posted!
