Thanks to you all for your kind words, for the things you did say & the things you didn't say . I do realize how incredibly stupid I was & how I put our family in danger. I don't know if the fact that I told him I was sick was what saved me or if the fact I just shut the door made the difference. I do believe I had a guardian angel with me this morning. My husband is looking into a new door or a security camera as I write this. I told him after our youngest left for college that I wanted to get an alarm system or guard dog. Now we have a beautiful 1/2 lab/husky mix dog named Chloe who proved this morning that she is worthless as a guard dog. My husband said where was Chloe during all this, Chloe was firmly planted on her couch & couldn't be bothered. Now if the guy had grabbed me & I had screamed she might have decided to come to my rescue. I am not going to beat myself up about this, hopefully I have learned from my mistakes. Thanks again everyone.
