Hi, thank you to all that replied. Sorry that I have taken so long to reply, I have been down with the flu for the last week. I thought that I was over it on sunday, but today it came back with a vengence. Since having the flu, I have lost 6 lbs because of not being able to eat anything. I will look to see if there are any swimming classes that are for people with back problems. I like that idea. Gayla had mentioned about celebrix, I was on that for about 6 months and it never did work for me, plus the cost of it was really out of this world. I am now on percacet for the pain. As for a low fat diet, I have been on one for the last 22 years because of having my gallbladder removed when I was 18. If I eat fatty food or deep fried foods I have phantom gallbladder attacks and the really hurt and make me sick to my stomach. Lately when the weather has beed warm here my back has not hurt much and I have been able to do some walking and planted some flowers in our backyard. It was really great to be able to get out and do things. Thanks again. Gail
