I have been reading the post on losing weight. I would like to lose 40-50 lbs, but I am not able to exercise at a gym and I have a hard time walking. 5 years ago I lost 75 lbs and went from a 46inch waist to a 32. I worked out at the gym for 2 hours a day and them came home and went jogging for 30 mins. I did this 5 days a week and felt great. Just after losing all that weight I hurt my back ( I have spondylolisthies) my L5 vertabrea is fractured and I also have a problem with my Sacoriliac (sp?) nerve. My drs have told me not to workout at a gym and I'm only allowd to lift 5lbs. My back hadn't bothered me for a while and then last Oct. my back started to bother me and I have been laid up in bed since. I can barely walk most days and am in constant pain. I can only sit or stand for very short periods of time. Since October I have gained 30lbs. I have watched what I eat but I also have a thyroid problem and take meds for it. I am at a loss as to how to get this extra weight off. Any suggestions would be very welcome. I have the windsor pilaties dvd and even the modified program on it bothers my back.
