Hi Bevrs, I didn't work today, still taking it easy . The doc suggested that I eat what I was able to tolerate before the surgery ,for about a week, then to start adding food I was comfortable with. I had some D when I woke up this morning but it was not painful and was over as quick as it started. I was told to expect that as I heal. My doc was optimistic about my IBS symptoms improving, but he said he wasn't guarenteeing anything. He thinks there is a chance that my gallbladder blockage caused alot of my problems with the D and the nausea because of how sudden it began, it was an overnight thing , day before thanksgiving 2002 i was fine, thanksgiving day was the end of my world as i knew it. I would like to beleive what he has to say, but I am not getting my hopes up to high, will just wait and see.
I am feeling much better today, the shoulder pain is almost all gone, and my "stab wounds" are barely noticeable. I ate a small veggie (little lettuce, mato, fat free sour cream) taco in a flour tortilla for early lunch, so far so good. I wasn't restricted at all for sugar, but was told not to eat pizza (as if) . No matter what happens to my gut, I will not go back to eating over 20% fat in a day EVER, may taste good, but it's not healthy.
Hope some of this made sense....I was only eating breads for the last couple days, makes my brain foggy, hopefully the matos will kick in soon
