April 25 is a public holiday here to commemorate ANZAC (Austrialian, New Zealand Army Corp) Day. This is the day that our soldiers landed on Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey in 1915. A fierce battle took place and by the end of the day 2000 ANZACs had died. By the end of the first week 6500 ANZACs had died. This day is held to remember all those who have fought and died for their country. LEST WE FORGET Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
