Doctor recommendation Eastern Missouri       01/20/08 03:01 PM Edit Reply Quote Magnolia65 Reged: 12/02/07 Posts: 6 Does anyone have a good GI doctor in Eastern Missouri? My internist refers me to a GI Dr. who is very arrogant. He said I had had all tests and refuses to order the hydrogen breath test. I was hospitalized twice for diverticulitis, once it showed up on the CT scan and the next month it didn't. He did a colonoscopy, said it was irritable bowel and refuses to talk to me. I do not know what to eat, but I have learned so much from this site. I was very close to the diverticulitis rupturing the first time, and now, everytime that pain in my side comes back, I would like to know how to tell diverticulitis from IBS. And what do I eat to minimize the pain? It seems the rice and bland foods feel best at the time I eat them, but later cause constipation which exacerbates the pain in my side.
