Hi Angela. All is well. I'm so thankful that I still have a few weeks of summer left before I go back to school. Serena is now 6 weeks old. It would be so hard for me to go back now.
She's been great. She's pretty content for the most part and is sleeping a bit better at night now. But, she's awake more which makes it more difficult to entertain her. We put her in her bouncy seat, the swing, on the floor in her "jungle", we hold her, we rock her, we sing to her, we take her for walks. What else is there to do? She really likes having her scenery changed. Sometimes it's exhausting.
Nursing is easier now but I've messed up my supply. I can only feed her about twice a day. For a couple weeks in a row we were running out of town and didn't have a real schedule, I had a family reunion and a wedding where I went hours without nursing (we did formula instead) so my milk seems to be drying up. I have mixed feelings about that. I love nursing her (when it doesn't hurt) but I do feel tethered to the house. Selfish, I know. But things are going really well right now.
Serena's 11 lbs. or so now. She's smiling. So cute. She definitely has her own personality. This a.m. she laughed out loud...in her sleep! That's the first time she's laughed. It was so cute it made me laugh!
I can't believe Ava's already 20 lbs. teething and sitting up. It's amazing how time flies. Before you know it, she'll be like Tanner...driving you crazy with pre-adolescence. It's weird having a kid in diapers and one in braces (and one in between). Weird.
Here's some of my latest favorites. Sorry they're so big! I love this little dress!!
I love the expression on her face here.
This was at my family reunion last week.
