I'm so sorry. I think you're right - it's probably stress. I cannot imagine teaching, and looking after a 6 month old and a 3 year old. Even if they are the best kids in the world (which of course ours are!!!!), it would be WAY WAY WAY too much for me. I take Ativan - or also known as Lorazepam. I don't know if you can take it while nursing or if you still are. It's not something that you can take every day, though. It's for times of high anxiety, ie. panic attacks. There are lots of other non habit forming meds that are great for anxiety. I hope you don't mind my suggesting - maybe this summer you should do some soul searching - maybe teaching is something you should either scale back or quit for a year or two. It's such extreme pressure - especially when there's high energy / high needs darlings at home. You don't want to come home and be tired or cranky around your babies. I'm just guessing. I could be totally off the mark here.
Anyway, tons of hugs. PS - book yourself a massage NOW. Ooh, and maybe a pedicure.
