Hi.
To reply to your question: As I understand it the recomendation is to use a bread similar to a French or Italian style that tends to break apart when eaten. Regular soft,white bread tends to clump after its eaten which can aggravate the IBS problem for some people. Lightly toasting this kind of bread sometimes helps. Other than that I've not heard another reason to avoid it unless you have a problem with gluten ?
