Think about other things... ignore it... tough it out. I mean, when I have a serious attack at night where I can't get away from the bathroom I can't ignore it. But I don't let it cause me anxiety. That's different than pain. With pain I just tell myself that this sucks, but night attacks are always over by 9 am at the latest, so I just have to survive through the night. If I'm just in pain or discomfort (bloating, etc). I seriously just ignore it. Sometimes it's very difficult to ignore it, but I usually have work to do, or something else that requires me to just not think about it. I take steps to avoid attacks, but I don't see the point in worrying about it or letting it cause me anxiety.
