As I said yesterday, both have occured together with me too although in my case I know it's the period - it will take a while for you to distinguish between the two and if you end up with both.....ouch! 
Yes, hot water bottle, hot tea, wrap yourself up and spoil yourself.
I did look back on my diary, by the way and my last bad attack did occur very close to my last period. Hhmm, that could be due to the stress the couple of day before though - worth remembering next month, we should be extra, extra careful the week leading up.
Have a nice lazy day, I full intend to!
