This prevents the nervous system from adapting to it." -Temple Grandin We have found it REALLY helps Luke keep his body still and he does not "verbal stim" when he's wearing it (repeating phrases to himself over and over)... in his words, "It helps me concentrate". We dont' use it all the time, we dont' want him to get "used to it". He craves deep pressure, though, he loves to crawl under the sofa cushions and have us sit on him. The cool thing about his vest is I found one that is actually a denim jacket vest, it doesn't look any different than anything a typical child might wear... it doesn't scream "Look how different I am!" -------------------- Take care, Michelle ...the greatest of these is LOVE.
