Hi Snorkie, Are you sure it was a real shooting? I happen to know that there are quite a few reenactors from the 2nd Virginia and 2nd Wisconsin that live in Rockford. "Spring Training" is coming up for both sides too. It may have just been some not too swift reenactor test firing his musket. Did you hear the shots? Were they high pitched cracks or low booming thuds? If the latter, then it was a black powder rifle or even pistol perhaps. If that was what you heard, then it's just some reenactor being stupid. Nothing danger- ous. -Bob
