He was also fatigued. (That was about 15 years ago.) The test they run in the doctor's office is just as good as the fasting test; as far as determining your blood sugar level. The one in the doctor's office will measure your blood sugar right then and it's the one Rick does at home all the time; before and after his meals to determine how much insulin he needs to take. He checks mine here, too, every once in awhile just to be sure I'm okay. So, either test should be accurate. They do a long term fasting test on hubby every couple of months and that one can determine his average long term blood sugar. It tells the doctor if he's been good or bad!
