Hi again!
We're still getting ready, but we do have quite a bit. We received a huge box of used clothing from a SIL... we have socks coming out of our ears!   We've picked up a few things each time we've gone to WalMart too.
So far we've only picked up a couple of packages of diapers... I don't know a lot about diapers, but have heard good things about Luvs. They had some newborn ones with a spot cut out for the healing belly button, so we got those. Otherwise, I've heard to get mostly 1's and 2's for sizes. I really like the fabric used with the Luvs, so we might stick with those.
We've also gotten a few toys... a teething ring, and some soft stuffed animals that squeak.
We have a baby shower this weekend, so we've really tried to control ourselves when we go shopping... not easy! 
I haven't gotten that book that you recommended, but have it saved in my favorites. I'll probably go to our local library sometime soon and look for it.
PS - You were wondering about names earlier and I forgot to tell you what we have picked out... if it's a boy, he'll be named Richard Philip (Richard is after Eric's favorite uncle and a brother of his, and Philip is after a brother of mine and my father's stepdad). If we have a girl, she'll be named Kyra (pronounced Keer-ah) Rose. Both names that we just really like.
