I have a friend that did really well on it, although he said that he got sick of the Myoplex shakes everyday. I began with too heavy a weight for the bench press & when I added weight for the subsequent sets I ended up tearing a muscle in my chest--dumb I know. Bottom line: begin with a light weight (you can always adjust up). I do like the Eating for Life cookbook as it has some quick-and-easy recipes for one (or two). They aren't all ibs friendly though--but you can substitute.
