There's a piece about the founder L. Ron Hubbard on www.thesmokinggun.com (under archives) that gives some insight on his "eccentricities". My wife's friend was into it for a short while & they wanted money for everything so she go out. I also saw an interview with a long time Scientologist on Anderson Cooper's show and he kept harping on "drugs & electroshock therapy" but never responded to Anderson's repeated questions about talk therapy.
