The migraine I got Tuesday from the paint smell at the gyn doc's office seems to have granted me immunity from my usual weekend headache. I've had a pattern going of almost exactly a week between migraines so that I've been getting one almost every Thursday (or sometimes Friday or Saturday).
I'm starting a new preventive called CoenzymeQ10. It takes forever to build up enough to be effective so I won't know if it's working for like 3 months. But clinical studies have shown that it cuts the frequency in half!! Two migraines a month instead of 1 a week???? WHOO-HOOOO!!!
Only side effect is very occasionally, you guessed it, DIARRHEA!!! ARGHHHH! Well, hopefully I can build the dose up gradually enough that I just have to pop another Imodium now and then. At the moment, I'd trade a day of D for half the migraines!!
