They will then do an exam by pressing on your abdomen and some doctors would do a rectal exam. With this they will do an exam called Guaiac which is meant to look for blood in feces. Then they will probably want either a colonoscopy or sigmoidoscopy. Following all this they would take in to consideration the best treatment. Hope this was helpfull and welcome to the site.
