i had this question, too, and was quite relieved to hear from LS that this diet for fibro stuff is bogus. WHEW!

meanwhile, i have noticed that my symptoms are better if I avoid sodas and caffienne (i know, i shouldn't be having it anyway because of the IBS, but we all know i'm BAD BAD BAD!).

it's also better if i am on my sleep meds (AMBIEN). have you tried that? can you get that in the UK? my problem is that i can't get a full-month's prescription. the original script was for 1 a night, but i need to take one at bedtime and another when i invariably wake up at 1 or 2 am. if i don't, the 2nd half of the night ruins whatever benefit i get for the first half. anyway... because of switching jobs i haven't gotten to the doctor's in the proper referral order and i'm still only medicated half of the month. ARGH! i hope to rectify that soon and get the full 60 tabs a month. then i will be happy and, hopefully, much more pain-free.

anyway, just a thought...
