Don't know if you are still out there but I am experiencing a similar issue. I am actually stuck at the job I am doing because it IS IBS friendly. Thank goodness for that, I know, but it means that I cannot leave. Anyway, an issue for her to consider also is any commute she may have. Each day I have an hour drive one way with most of it on a highway (read no bathrooms). It is VERY stressful. So, that is something...try to find employment with an easy commute. Also, find a position that is not dependent on her being right there all the time. I had to give up umpiring my local Little League because you just can't stop a game so you can go potty! I am an office manager. I can get up and go potty whenever I need to and the bathroom is in the building (of course) unlike positions outside (driving, field work, etc). Think of all of the jobs that require you, for various reasons, to stay put unless you get someone to relieve you. Avoid those.
