Hi all. I'm relatively new to this board although I have been diligently reading through the information. Still, I have many questions. I have dealt with "stomach" issues most of my life. I always had a sensitive stomach and would end up in the bathroom under stressful times or eating the wrong foods, etc. But, many years later these symptoms for me have changed (probably because I avoid most of those foods.)
My current problem is I would like to be able to get up in the morning and eat breakfast without feeling like I'm going to either vomit or pass out. Most of my problems are now in my upper stomach and leaves me feeling heavy in the chest or upper left area. Sometimes it feels like everything just sits on my chest and I have a hard time eating.
I generally eat cream of rice cereal for breakfast and herbal tea. I have tried doing fiber both before and after eating with no changes in the results. I currently use Citrucel but have tried acacia and psyllium (the worst). I take a probiotic but, can't say that it helps or not. I eat gluten and dairy free. I generally eat chicken or turkey, rice, gluten free bread, potatoes. I try to incorporate some vegetables (always cooked, never raw) but, when I do, I will always find myself in the bathroom more times than I like. I do eat gluten free desserts and snacks like pretzels, etc. as I'm always trying to put on a few pounds, which never works anyway Usually after I eat lunch the rest of my day is ok (other than sometimes trapped gas in the evening depending on what I've eaten.) It's just the mornings are terrible. Any suggestions?
