I'm really not sure if what I am experiencing is IBS, or if it's just the usual pregnancy "bloating" people complain about. I had a bad bout of IBS about 15 years ago and have been very very very fortunate to not have had a very difficult time until now. Can anyone describe your IBS symptoms during pregnancy?
Here are mine - what do you think? *I'm uncomfortable all the time. *I feel like someone has pumped a bunch of air into my stomach. *Even if I have a bowel movement, it never feels like I'm done. I feel the pressure in my back all the time. *I'm uncomfortable sitting and walking, and if I lay on my back, my stomach is tender - like gravity alone is enough to make it not feel good. *I'm going between constipation and diarrhea (sp?) every few days, and generally feel yucky. *Oh, when I wake up in the morning I sometimes feel sick in the shower or getting ready. Like I'm going to be sick - to the point that I have to sit down in the shower or on the floor. But this is somehow different from the morning sickness feeling I used to get.
Sorry for such a long post. I'm just at a loss to know what to do to get relief. If it's just regular old pregnancy bloatedness and I need to stick it out, ok , I'd just like to know.
Bye the way, in case it adds insight, I'm 13 weeks along...
