Hello Frustrated. I hear and understand your pain. I was on lexapro for a very short time. The seratonin amounts that were being adjusted were causing me to have migraines. Prior to that, I was taking Prozac. Well, anti-depressants are known for causing depression, and I was severely depressed. I FINALLY gave up dealing with the doctors who only seemed to think I was psychotic, and only wanted to prescribe medications to me. I HIGHLY recommend researching on your own various IBS books at your nearest bookstore or library. I own two very helpful books: The Yeast Connection and the Candida Cookbook. Now, not everyone's IBS is due to Yeast. I do have a few of the IBS books as well. I have found that once I no longer eat the foods that are causing the issues, I feel a million times better. I no longer eat products containing dairy, sugar, yeast, or gluten. I majority of my diet consists of vegetables, fruits, and grains. I shop more at health stores that I do at the local groccery store. I am so glad for it too because I cannot think of a time in my entire life that I have felt so great. I am 26 and tired of suffering. I want everyone else to feel the same way that I do now. I hope that this information is beneficial to you. I hope you the best in overcoming your IBS issues.
