I was diagnosed with IBS a few years ago, but have had problems all of my life. I now take the Acacia fiber once a day and also the peppermint tables and they have both definitely helped me. However, I am a runner and I always have problems with my stomach when running. I know this is a common problem, but I've had a difficult time finding information on this. I ran a marathon a year ago and had problems of needing to go in and out of the port-a-potties during most of the race, which was miserable. I am now runnign shorter runs in the mornings and halfway through the runs, I feel like I need to use the bathroom. Once I get home, I go instantly and it is often like diarreah. I thought when you exercised, your bowel system was supposed to turn off, but mine turns on full force. Is there anything I can do to prevent this? I think I might start taking the Acacia in the mornings after my runs instead of at night, but anything else? Thank you!
