I am looking to put some money into a piece of equipment that I can use at home instead of buying another gym membership. I have done a lot of research on treadmills, stationary bikes, rowing machines, etc. I like the idea of the rowing machine, but Bevvy has convinced me that I have to be REALLY serious about this one to make sure I'm going to use it correctly - and that there's a lot to learn in the technique. I like the idea of a treadmill best - but they are cumbersome, immovable and big. Then I was thinking a stationary bike - I could drag it in front of the TV to use and shove it against a wall when not in use. Plus, they're a little less expensive. But then I read that the cardio workout is not as good on a bike as it is on a treadmill or elliptical or rowing machine. Ho hum. Now I'm just confused. I don't really want to spend more than about $1000.00 Canadian, but I don't want to buy a piece of crap that's going to die in a year. I want a machine with a good warranty. Stephie gave me the idea of finding something AFTER Christmas - which is fine with me - it might be cheaper then. Any suggestions?????
