a really good day for no apparent reason. gotta love those!
food du jour:
proteins:
--1 c. egg whites
--1/2 c. very lean roast beef (yeah, i know)
--25 medium shrimp
carbs/veggies:
***all cooked/pureed***just the way i like it & they like me!!!
--spinach ('popeye pesto') with lots of dill
--scalloped zucchini
--two broccoli/cauliflower 'sundaes' --i.e. 'brocco-mole' & 'faux-tatoes' (i suppose that's the best way to describe them! really hit the tarragon & chive sprinkles, today.)
my mother came by for a bite and well...she really loves my veggie sundaes. yup...we even use sundae dishes. instead of chocolate or strawberry sauce, she likes it with salsa, but then...she eats salsa with positively everything. it's rather obscene.
now that i consider it...maybe next time i'll grill the zucchini mock-banana split style and really make them retro--diner!
okay, enough food-babble. just thought i'd share one of my favourite veggie presentations. simply a veggie sundae.
personal victory: no raw and no onions/garlic. i think i do better without the allum, except in dehydrated/dry form.
no mega-sweat baths, i note, with the deliberate elimination of onions/garlic.
