Deleted the morning. Basically just shopping--birthday presents/cards. I can get lost for hours reading greeting cards! Self treat du jour: my favourite facial lotion.

Had some food processor fun, I must confess. Becoming supremely anal re: food processing. I am reluctant to eat most hard-core veggies unless the fibers have been turned into 'french haute cuisine' or 'retro-baby-food.' Lettuce is the exception--it's soft core. I have horrible teeth and TMJ, incidentally and don't like feeding sessions to be a war. Made a neat salmon salad and did some interesting things with 'shrooms.

The poached salmon, green onions, and celery/herbs all went into the food processor and it was so easily digestible. A kind of pate. It fit into a cereal bowl. A variation on Laurel/Retrograde's soup technique. Later, I tossed 'shrooms, onion, garlic, herbs de provence, sea salt in the food processor and baked it. With a little egg white, in retrospect, it could have been fake meatloaf/meat pie! If I get in 'shroom omelette mode, I will food process the 'shrooms to a creamy paste. Once again, IT RESEMBLED PATE.

Okay, enough creepy kitchen diary psycho-babble. I just hate chewing and if food isn't chewed effectively I PAY THE PRICE. I hate it when things shoot out of my butt. Also, doing so virtually eliminates any gas/bloat--nice easy smooth poos.

I know, a little too much information.

Here's what I ate:

--1 c. egg whites
--127g Highliner Salmon filet (110 calories/25g protein/1g fat)

raw:
--iceburg lettuce
--red leaf lettuce
(resistance is futile--I just love the stuff and shredded baby fine, it's no problem) I need the K for my bones.

cooked:
--red swiss chard/basil/garlic (amazing, I dare say!)
--portabella mushrooms (still craving lamb/veal/filet mignon...yes, really craving red meat. bought some zinc supplements. maybe that will take the edge off)
--celery (chloride! had a huge craving for it.)
--green onions
--vidalia onion (i've been eating them like apples--alot of the same compounds.)
--garlic (hehe, probably about 8-10 cloves! aie, i have an 'interview with a vampire!')

Yes, it appears that I really like those stems and roots and bulbs!
Starting to get sick of 'shrooms, though.

Over 100g protein. Less than 1000 calories. Protein really picks me up and also calms my nerves. I'm getting 'big fat hair.' It's a royal treat to have bushier bedhead. Honestly, I might have the kind of 'horsehair' mane of my teenage years, again.

Truly, for the record, food processing virtually everything more or less guarantees no cramping, gas, bloating/pain, spasms for me. Happy digestion.

Kate.
